The position is located at the International Relations Office, which is part of the University Administration. The International Relations Office, IRO, is divided into four groups: International Student Recruitment, Mobility and Partnerships, Project Support, and EIT. In addition, there is a staff working with general issues related to internationalization. The department supports KTH management and schools with international initiatives and cooperation, mainly in the field of education.

Job description

KTH participates currently in four consortia within the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Most of the activities take place in so-called KICs (Knowledge and Innovation Communities). We are now looking for an international advisor who will be project coordinator and administrative support for projects and education initiatives within the framework of KTH's cooperation within the EIT.

As an international advisor you are responsible for:

  • maintaining the networks of administrative and academic contacts at all partner universities within the consortia where KTH participates in education collaboration
  • contract management, quality control, follow-up, and reporting, which also includes some budget responsibility
  • internal coordination at KTH of the administrative processes of the education programs, in cooperation with program managers and contact persons at the respective KTH school office
  • operationally supporting KTH Management in matters relating to the EIT and the education collaboration in which KTH participates

You work closely with the central organization of the KICs, with administrative and academic contacts at the partner universities within the consortia, with the staff in the department, and also with the other departments of the University Administration and KTH schools.

This position includes a lot of travel.


You have a degree from university/college and very good knowledge of English in both speech and writing. Knowledge in additional languages is valuable. You also have experience with internationalization activities with EU affiliation, preferably in the form of education collaboration, at university/college or other organization. It is very important that you are outgoing and that you are used to working with people from different cultures. The position requires that you are very well-structured and organized in your work, that you have experience with administrative responsibility, and that you are diplomatic. You should also be driving and results-oriented against set time plans and goals, and comfortable with working under time pressure, as work pace is often very high and sometimes with short advance notice.
