Job description

The applied fluid dynamics group within the Department of Mechanics is offering a 1 year post doc position with the possibility to extend it for 1 more year.

The work carried out within the group is computational and experimental and to some extent also clinical. We focus on blood flow phenomena, clot formation, bleeding and atherosclerosis in patient-like geometries and artificial life-supporting devices relevant to clinical situations.

The project is numerical and targets at understanding and resolving issues related to blood flow along with issues related blood clotting and bleeding phenomena.

Qualifications

We seek highly motivated candidates holding a PhD, not older than three years, in area with experience that is relevant for the project. Documented competence and skills in utilizing modern computational tools for bio-medical flows is required. The successful applicant should be strongly motivated, have the capability to work independently as well as in collaboration with members of the research group, and have good communication skills.
