Job description

You will develop new nano-devices for the generation of single and entangled photons based on hybrid semiconducting-superconducting systems. An important part of the task will be the development of clean room nanofabrication processes to produce nanoscale LEDs with superconducting contacts. Designing and realizing optical measurements at very low temperatures in a dilution fridge will follow device development and will provide feedback to further improve the quantum devices. The end goal is to observe quantum entanglement in a new type of device.


We are looking for a candidate with a doctoral education in quantum photonics at the nanometre scale. You should have experience in nanofabrication of semiconducting nanostructures as well as with optical measurements at cryogenic temperatures at the single photon level. Experience in operating a dilution fridge is required.
