Job description

The applicant will mainly develop electrical models for spin torque nano-oscillators (STNOs)/ spin Hall nano-oscillators (SHNO) and design supporting CMOS circuitries for spin-torque based applications. The designs will target large networks of synchronized SHNO. In addition, SHNO based neuromorphic alternatives to digital gates will be explored. Particular focus will be put on designing and prototyping of ultra-wideband LNA and PLL integrated circuits, and testing together with the STNO/SHNO chips.

Qualifications

We seek a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a master degree in electrical engineering, embedded electronics, micro-/nano-electronics, engineering physics or similar areas. Experience in RF, analog, mixed-signal and digital ASIC design, implementation and test, and familiarity with the STO technology are highly regarded. We are looking for a highly motivated and open-minded researcher, able to work independently and perform critical thinking and analysis, and to grow in a multicultural environment. The applicant should have good communication skills and good command of English in writing and speaking. The evaluation will be based on how well the applicant fulfills the above qualifications.
